Searching for Sound: Simon Mejia The Return to San Basilio

Almost ten years ago, Simón Mejía built a studio in the region – a corner of northern Colombia where African slaves once escaped to and which has had a massive impact on the modern-day sound of Colombia. Now he’s back to explore the studio’s legacy and contemporary music scenes and to record the unique sounds in this community.
